Univest Securities served as financial advisor to Houston American Energy Corp. in the strategic acquisition of Abundia Global Impact Group, a waste-to-fuel technology company specializing in converting waste plastics into low-carbon fuels and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). The acquisition combined HUSA's public platform with Abundia's proprietary pyrolysis technology. Abundia founder Ed Gillespie became CEO of combined entity. Transaction closed June 2025.

Univest served as placement agent and financial advisor for multiple private placements and PIPE transactions for Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc., raising over $100M in growth capital. Transactions included $105M private placement (July 2025), $41M PIPE (March 2025), and $30M convertible note (September 2024). Faraday Future is developing electric vehicles and sustainable transportation technology.

Univest served as placement agent for multiple capital raise transactions for Qualigen Therapeutics, a life sciences company. Transactions included $41M PIPE (September 2025), $30M convertible note (April 2023), and multiple registered direct offerings and private placements totaling $40M+. Company focuses on therapeutics and diagnostic solutions.

Univest served as bookrunner for Universe Pharmaceuticals Inc.'s IPO (March 2020, $28.75M) and follow-on offerings. Company develops pharmaceutical and healthcare products. Univest also handled $15M registered direct offering (December 2024) for ongoing capital management.

Univest served as lead bookrunner for Lichen China Limited's IPO (February 2023, $16M) and subsequent registered direct offerings and capital raises totaling $20M+ in follow-on capital. Company operates technology and mobile service platforms in Asia. Univest managed multiple registered direct offerings in December 2024-January 2025.

Univest served as placement agent and bookrunner for multiple large-scale capital raise transactions for Ebang International Holdings, a blockchain and cryptocurrency technology company. Transactions included $96M follow-on offering (February 2021), $72.4M warrants inducement (February 2021), and $85.4M follow-on offering (April 2021). Total capital raised exceeded $295M.
